Producer Update

August 13, 2004

Hello “Freedom Park” fans! As summer is quickly coming to an end, the post-production team of “Freedom Park” is hard at work finalizing the film. In the next week we will be adding the sound design and original score to the film in Los Angeles. Final edits will be made and then “Freedom Park” will be complete for the September 9th premiere at Showcase Cinemas North in Worcester, Massachusetts. On Friday September 10th, the film will open at numerous theaters throughout Massachusetts. Please go to the Festivals and Screenings link to see exact locations.

Our distribution team, headed by Producer Victor J. Melfa, Jr. is quite unique in that we are self-distributing “Freedom Park” theatrically. Many theaters have enjoyed the trailer and feel that “Freedom Park” is just the type of family comedy to take off and become successful. We are counting on everyone to spread the word about our September 10th opening. The film will run for at least a week at each of these theaters and depending on tickets sales, it will continue playing until sales drop (That won’t happen!). We need everyone to tell everyone they know and everyone they know, etc. -- about “Freedom Park.”

In addition we are hard at work on creating the “Freedom Park” original soundtrack featuring music by Sam Zammarelli, Red Menace, Jediah, The Piperdowns, Waiting for Sully, and Babystrange. Most of these bands are Massachusetts based. In test screenings and festivals, we’ve received amazing reviews on our music. The “Freedom Park” DVD is also currently being created for a late fall completion. Check out the “Freedom Park” gift shop to pre-order your soundtrack, DVD, and other fun gifts which will be in your hands in time for the holidays!

The cast and crew of “Freedom Park” will be dispersed throughout the state at various theaters for opening weekend, so be sure to say hello after the show!
